The Sekretariat Rukun Negara (SRN) UPSI in collaboration with Persatuan Komunikasi (PERKOM) UPSI successfully organized an online program titled “OBS Mastery Workshop 2.0” on 1 May 2026 from 8:30 p.m. until 10:30 p.m. through Google Meet. The workshop was conducted to educate UPSI students on the use of Open Broadcast System (OBS), a software widely used in professional live streaming, recording, and broadcasting.
The program featured Muhammad Zahid Bin Zaidi as the invited panel speaker, where he shared his knowledge and experience regarding the setup, configuration, and streaming functions available in OBS. More than 150 students participated in the online workshop, showing strong interest and positive support towards the program.
According to SRN Club President, SahaDevva A/L Bhaskaran, the workshop was organized again after receiving an overwhelming response during its first session held in the previous semester. He stated that the objective of the program remains the same, which is to expose students to practical broadcasting skills and digital communication tools that are highly valuable in today’s media industry.
Meanwhile, PERKOM representative, Naveen A/L Suresh, emphasized the importance of mastering OBS as it provides students with an added advantage, especially for those interested in media production, streaming, and online content creation.
At the end of the workshop, Muhammad Zahid Bin Zaidi expressed his appreciation to both SRN and PERKOM for inviting him to conduct the session and share his professional experience with UPSI students.
